Constant Load Type Spring Hangers And Supports

In applications where variable load type spring hangers and supports cannot be used due to load and travel requirement or where the reaction force of the support is required to be kept constant with respect to the vertical movement of the pipeline, constant load type spring hanger and supports are used. In this design the load is not carried directly by the spring. The geometry and movement arm combination is so designed that within the specific travel range the reaction force exerted by the support is constant, independent of the compression in the spring.
